We're seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide clinical oversight, consultation, and care coordination for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the Los Angeles metro area.
Registered Nurse - CPP (Community Placement Plan)
Location: El Segundo, CA
Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Employment Type: Full-Time, Long Term Contract
Setting: Los Angeles Metro Community Residential Facilities
Compensation: $120k/annually + Travel, Cell Phone and Internet Stipend
Role Summary
The CPP Nurse plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities by conducting comprehensive nursing assessments for placement and deflection cases. This position partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served through the Community Placement Plan (CPP) and Community Resource Development Plan (CRDP) programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in community-based residential settings
• Monitor Adult Residential Facilities for Persons with Special Health Care Needs (ARFPSHN) and specialized residential facilities to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
• Conduct audits of care plans, clinical documentation, and regulatory standards to ensure quality and consistency of services
• Perform post-placement follow-up and support resource development and whole-person assessment processes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, residential staff, and community partners to support positive health outcomes
• Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff and providers, offering guidance on complex health, safety, and care coordination needs
• Support community resource development and provide technical assistance to service providers and stakeholders
• Function in a primarily supervisory, audit, and clinical oversight role with no direct bedside responsibilities
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Active California RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in developmental disabilities or related clinical oversight
• Experience with CPP/CRDP populations and health & safety requirements
• Knowledge of DDS guidelines, licensing standards, and community-based services
• Experience providing training, clinical support, and working with community resources
Ideal Candidate
• RN supervisory experience overseeing bedside RNs/LVNs in IDD or residential settings
• Strong background in clinical auditing, compliance, and care plan oversight
• Effective communicator and collaborative team partner
