Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU

Winston-Salem, NC, United States

Where You Will Work:

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients of all kinds including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. One 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment. One 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. MICU nurses are experienced in managing the treatment of critically ill patients with complex illnesses which are simultaneously affecting various body systems.

Expectations We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
  • 1-2 years RN experience preferred


What You'll Do:
• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
