Department: Lactation Center

Schedule: Evening shift l Full-time

Salary: $38.60 - $55.16 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Deliver personalized, evidence-based lactation care to help mothers and infants meet their individual feeding goals from birth through discharge.
  • Empower patients and families by demonstrating proper techniques and educating them on the lifelong health benefits of breastfeeding.
  • Serve as the clinical lactation expert and mentor for staff nurses and physicians to elevate the overall standard of infant care across the unit.
  • Design standardized patient teaching plans that ensure consistent, high-quality educational resources for every growing family.
  • Drive clinical improvement initiatives by tracking feeding outcomes and refining care protocols based on real-time data.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
    transfer date requiried.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Lactation credentialed from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) preferred.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.


Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
    hire
