Contact Email: [email protected] DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position develops, presents, and evaluates programs that support staff development and strengthen nursing practices throughout the facility. The work supports employee growth, regulatory compliance, and consistent delivery of quality care. As a Registered Nurse Instructor, you will perform the following duties:
- Orientation Program: Plan and deliver training for new nursing employees and document their progress
- Educational Development: Create lesson plans and present training programs that meet regulatory requirements
- Training Records: Maintain accurate documentation of educational activities and staff participation
- Staff Support: Share information on available training programs and demonstrate new procedures
- Needs Assessment: Work with supervisors to identify educational needs and schedule staff for required training
- Performance Review: Conduct audits of staff performance and observe work practices across all shifts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a flex-schedule based on facility training needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; or
- One year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Special Requirements:- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
