Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient enrollment and insurance approvals for Amvuttra Clinic
  • Monitor and evaluate heart failure data adjusting care plans as needed
  • Document patient care and services in electronic health records accurately
  • Perform other patient care activities to ensure safe outcomes
  • Support interdisciplinary team efforts as directed by leadership

Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 year of nursing recent experience caring for cardiac patients in an acute care or ambulatory setting with working knowledge of diuretics and electrolytes in the Heart Failure population.
  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
  • Proficiency with IV initiation and IV push medications.
  • Experience in caring for Advanced Heart Failure patients
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
  • Ability to multitask and easily float between clinic responsibilities
  • BSN


REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification
