Position description

The Division of Cardiology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General, a major teaching hospital of the University of California, San Francisco, is recruiting a fulltime Director of the Echocardiography Lab at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We are seeking an outstanding clinician, educator, and leader with a record of expertise in echocardiography, excellence in providing inpatient and outpatient care, and effective education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Applicants must have a MD degree, be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular medicine, and have level III competence in echocardiography.

Experience with technical and administrative aspects of hospital-based echocardiography systems is preferred. Interests and/or experience in cardiovascular research is highly desirable.

The candidate must qualify for appointment as faculty at UCSF School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The total compensation for this position ranges from $131,200-$344,400.

Total compensation at the University of California, San Francisco includes your base salary, which is determined by your rank and step at appointment, and negotiated pay for Health Sciences Compensation Plan members. Faculty who are members of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan may also be eligible for additional incentive pay.
