Regional Quality and Food Safety Manager
Can be located at any Ag Services - ADM U.S. facility

This is an exempt position.

Position Summary:
The Regional Manager, Quality & Food Safety is responsible for a unified approach for quality, food safety and standard processes throughout ADM Ag Services. This position will provide support for standardizing processes and procedures. Some of the key components of this role are to identify and implement QFS best practices and validations to reduce quality disruptions to our operations and our customers; conduct thorough risk assessments and standardize the food safety plans where applicable; conduct and provide support for internal audits, including root cause corrective actions; coordinate action plans for continuous improvements; develop and provide QFS training and support to the locations; and communicate and collaborate across all levels and functions within the business.

The ideal candidate must be able to convey extensive experience in the agricultural and/or food processing industries. Additionally, the person filling this position should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of driving positive change. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as this person must work effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization.

This position reports to the Director of Quality and Food Safety - Milling & Ag Services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports implementation of a global Quality Management System to drive improved performance and efficiencies.
  • Evaluate the QFS programs and procedures of Ag Services, identifying how to effectively standardize and integrate the QFS team, programs, and procedures across the organization.
  • Develop criteria and processes for QA verifications which are to be completed by QFS and Operations.
  • Track and address Quality incident escalations and escalate to the Global Quality Leader as necessary.
  • Provides assistance in setting goals and KPI's for Commercial, Food Safety/Quality, and Operations for continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
  • Provides oversight and engages with the different Transportation/Ag Services facilities in the creation of procedures and policies for adherence to all Federal, State and Local laws as well as customer and 3rd party audit certifications.
  • Oversee usage of and provide support for information technology systems. (i.e., Policy Tech, APeCS, etc.).
  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of internal QFS audits, root cause identifications and corrective actions that drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop global QFS training program for the locations.
  • Foster a strong QFS culture that supports teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, may require consecutive weeks of travel as projects/circumstances arise.
Required Skills:
  • Must be highly proficient using all Microsoft 365 platform applications such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Notes
  • Power BI experience as a plus
Education Requirements:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent in an agricultural related field.
Required Experience:
  • More than 10 years of experience in agricultural or food processing industries
  • Knowledge of FDA and USDA (grain handling) regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
