About the Role
As a CBRE Operations Management Senior Manager, you will oversee the business operations, governance, and financial performance for a large region or a high-profile data center client portfolio. This job is part of the Operations Management job function. You will coordinate staff functions, regional compliance, and cross-functional operations to support the organization's mission-critical goals, ensuring high-availability infrastructure strategy aligns with business performance.
What You'll Do
- Regional & Technical Team Leadership: Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and performance coaching to a regional team of operations professionals. Oversee recruiting, hiring, and technical cross-training schedules to ensure continuous operations support.
- Financial & Portfolio Metrics: Prepare complex reports for data center revenue, critical environments operational expenses (OpEx/CapEx), and business metrics. Direct the monthly forecasting process for the data center client or region, delivering strategic recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
- Compliance & Critical Governance: Guarantee all regional sites and teams adhere strictly to company policy, business/professional licensing, data center industry regulations, real estate law, and state/federal environmental or energy guidelines.
- Data Integrity & Systems Management: Identify approaches to data clean-up and governance when operational or facility management tracking issues are identified.
- Operational "Best Practices": Partner with national technical service teams to identify, scale, and implement organizational best practices across the data center portfolio.
- Process Development: Develop, approve, and execute operational training programs, standard operating business processes, and technical system training programs prior to regional distribution.
- Cross-Discipline Integration: Apply a broad knowledge of data center business landscapes to integrate operations smoothly with critical facility engineering, IT hardware deployment, and client stakeholder groups.
- Complex Problem Solving: Identify and solve highly complex technical and operational business problems, recognizing how regional choices impact the broader critical environments department.
- Continuous Improvement: Improve and optimize existing methods, operational processes, and SLAs within the data center management discipline.
- CBRE RISE Values: Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence internal teams and external clients to adopt new processes while working within departmental plans.
What You'll Need
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant operations management experience, ideally within data centers, critical infrastructure portfolios, telecom, or large industrial real estate. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Portfolio Operations Mastery: Proven experience in staffing, technical selection, regional training, performance auditing, and operational budget management.
- Critical Communication: Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, highly complicated, and difficult information, convey strict performance expectations to multi-site teams, and manage high-stakes business problems.
- Strategic Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate regional teams to achieve broad operational and financial targets across multiple job disciplines.
- Tools & Analytics: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort reviewing enterprise ERP, data center infrastructure management (DCIM), or CMMS reporting tools.
- Mindset: Extensive organizational skills combined with an advanced, inquisitive mindset focused on process optimization.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Regional OPs Management Senior Manager position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary is 163,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
