Full Job Description
What you'll own

You're our presence in North America, carrying the full People Enablement portfolio for the region rather than one slice of it: performance, feedback, onboarding, leadership and manager development. You're the person who holds it together regionally, adapts what HQ builds so that it supports North American teams, and represents the function with senior stakeholders here.

We're a nimble team, so that means you'll wear (at least) two hats. Some weeks you'll be building programs for the whole company alongside the London team. Other weeks you'll be executing it locally in North America. Both parts are central to the role; neither is secondary.

In North America, you'll partner closely with a local people leadership team including a VP of HR for AI Infrastructure and a Director of Talent Acquisition. You'll report to our VP of People Enablement, based in the UK.

This is a senior individual contributor role at the center of a company that moves fast enough that one year here might feel like seven anywhere else. Our team and our roles will evolve as needed to support Nscale. The person who thrives is the one who finds that energizing, not unsettling. You'll embrace ambiguity and change as opportunities, not obstacles.
What you're here to do:
  • Move between global build and local execution as the work demands, sometimes contributing to something the whole company will use, sometimes being the person who runs it here.
  • Represent the function regionally, in the room at leadership offsites and with senior stakeholders, and adapt what HQ builds so it reflects local needs.
  • Define what success looks like and report on it, whatever the relevant measure is for the work in front of you.
Your first six to nine months:

Your priority is to help deliver and improve our global onboarding and manager engagement work in the region, making sure it's genuinely fit for the US, and to become the trusted regional voice for People Enablement.
What you'll bring:
  • 15+ years across talent, people, or related fields, with real breadth rather than deep specialization in one area.
  • You've built, broken, and rebuilt enough to have real judgment about what matters.
  • The credibility to hold your own with executives, and push back when you need to.
  • Fluency with technology and AI, and the instinct to build with them.
  • Comfortable bringing clarity to ambiguous, fast-moving situations rather than needing it handed to you.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, and to work flexible hours across global time zones.
This job likely isn't for you if:
  • You want to go deep on one specialization rather than carry breadth across the whole portfolio.
  • You're looking for a large team under you from day one, or a purely regional-facing role with a local team of your own to run through you. This is senior IC.
  • You'd rather wait for direction from HQ than adapt it yourself for what the region actually needs.
  • You're not comfortable being the person who represents the function when it counts.

The range below reflects the base salary for the position. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs. Nscale may offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and retirement plan participation.

Salary Range
