What this job involves: The Regional Engineering Manager is responsible for the daily leadership, operational management, and performance of the engineering and maintenance team to ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role oversees the maintenance of critical infrastructure, supports capital improvement planning, manages vendor and contractor activities, and ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining 100% uptime objectives.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:- Overseeing the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, lighting, generators, controls, security systems, and Audio/Visual services.
- Supervising and supporting engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and professional development.
- Developing and managing preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs to support operational reliability and efficiency.
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards while implementing and managing facility safety training programs.
- Assisting with capital planning initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications.
- Managing major building projects to ensure proper planning, execution, and closeout in accordance with industry standards.
- Overseeing vendors and contractors to ensure work quality, compliance with building procedures, and competitive pricing.
- Maintaining accurate engineering records, compliance documentation, building drawings, and operational logs.
- Monitoring building performance, reviewing service request trends, and resolving recurring operational issues.
Desired experience and technical skills:Requirements:- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Two years of trade schooling in electrical systems design, refrigeration, or HVAC preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and critical building systems.
- Ability to analyze system operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, peers, and leadership.
- Strong customer service, leadership, and team management skills.
Preferred:- Experience managing critical environments and uptime-sensitive facilities.
- Familiarity with CEWA (Critical Facility Work Authorization) or similar critical work authorization processes.
- Experience overseeing contractors, vendor performance, and compliance programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to building operations and safety.
- Experience supporting capital projects and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Estimated compensation for this position:134,200.00 - 194,500.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
