Full Job Description
Role Purpose

Provide business unit(s) with sustainable competitive advantage in Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Develop and deploy a regional engineering strategy, assure successful plant operations and performance, and represent Manufacturing and Technology as required as a member of the business team.

Responsibilities
• Develop regional engineering strategy incorporating knowledge of competitors, costs, capabilities, and market conditions, and develop/foster a 'ONE' Corning mindset throughout the organization to enable growth
• Deliver products at cost and performance levels ensure the business meets its objectives.
• Support development and execution of the business strategy as a member of the business team to ensure alignment of Manufacturing, Technology and Commercial objectives.
• Define and execute major capital projects supporting growth and expansion or cost reduction. Define and implement division sourcing policy where required.
• Exhibit interpersonal savvy like working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, disciplines, and cultures, anticipates objections or resistance that others may have, and works proactively to address them. As well as clarify perspectives when there are conflicts and being able to work with others in a cooperative, non-confrontational manner.
• Leads division level transformational programs while maintaining regional duties above and continually looks for opportunities to improve processes and systems while considering the impact of changes on other organizational processes and systems.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for current customer needs and future opportunities.

Qualifications
• B.S. in Engineering
• 10+ years of manufacturing and/or engineering experiences throughout the product life cycle (growth, new product introductions, turnaround situation, etc.).
• 7+ years of experience in leading projects or organizations in meeting step change performance improvements, new product or process innovation, and expanding technical capability.
• 5+Experience developing and communicating plant manufacturing strategy and tactics.
• Demonstrated track record of developing talent and building and managing a cohesive staff while establishing collaborative relationships across functional areas.

Desired Skills, experience, education, certifications
• M.B.A.
• Green Belt or Black Blet certification
