Role PurposeAs a Senior Global Lease Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of Corning's global real estate lease portfolio. As an individual contributor, you will lead and innovate within lease administration processes while supporting ASC 842 reporting, SOX compliance, lease accounting operations, and vendor coordination. This role provides exposure to the full lease administration platform and opportunities to partner closely with Global Real Estate, Finance, outsourced providers, and internal business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and comfortable working across complex lease portfolios, financial reporting requirements, and changing business priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage lease documentation and coordinate with GRE Lease Administration and Transaction teams
- Maintain accurate lease records, abstractions, and supporting documents in IWMS/ERP systems
- Review lease data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal standards
- Support lease accounting, ASC 842 reporting, reconciliations, disclosures, and close activities
- Execute controls for rent validation, critical date tracking, audit readiness, and SOX compliance
- Prepare lease reports, dashboards, schedules, and analyses for stakeholders
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits
- Partner with Finance, Technical Accounting, Shared Services, Workplace Services, vendors, and business teams
- Manage vendor performance and lease-related inquiries
- Improve processes, data integrity, documentation, training materials, and operational efficiency
- Support special projects, identify control gaps, and assist with remediation efforts.
Experiences/Education - Required- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in lease administration, real estate accounting, property management, or a related field with exposure to commercial leases
- Strong understanding of commercial lease language and the ability to interpret complex lease terms
- Experience with lease administration databases; IBM TRIRIGA preferred
- Advanced analytical and financial skills
- Experience supporting lease accounting and reporting processes; ASC 842 experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit support
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain high accuracy, strong attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to shifting deadlines
Experiences/Education - Desired- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
- Paralegal experience is a plus
- Experience with SAP, PeopleSoft, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA
- Familiarity with lease accounting schedules such as amortization, accretion, and NPV schedules
- Experience in audit, technical accounting support, or financial statement analysis
- Experience with process automation, analytics tools, or dashboard reporting
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $86,359.00 - $118,744.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
