Inside the Role
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Compensation Specialist to support regional compensation initiatives across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role will partner closely with business leaders and HR teams to implement compensation structures that drive organizational effectiveness, support talent strategies, and ensure market competitiveness. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, data-driven decision-making, and expertise in Workday.

What you Drive At DTFS

Regional Compensation Strategy, Execution and Alignment

  • Develop, implement, and manage compensation programs in alignment with DTNA/DTFS combined structures and guidelines across the US, Canada, and Mexico.

  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.

  • Collaborate with Talent Management and HR leadership to support executive compensation planning and governance.

  • Develops, implements and administers compensation for the US, Canada and Mexico including salary offers, job evaluations, short and long term incentives, salary reviews and increases and salary surveys.

  • Provides support on executive compensation and sales compensation as needed in alignment with DTAG, DTFS and Daimler Truck North America.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and compensation regulations.

  • Align on compensation initiatives and projects with DTFS Global Compensation team and DTNA Compensation Center of Excellence.

  • Communicate to leaders and employees for key processes,deadlines and changes to the compensation processes and reviews.

  • Responsible for recognition and reward strategy and systems for DTFS NA.

Organizational Development

  • Partner with leaders to define optimal organizational structures that support business performance.

  • Provide guidance on job architecture, leveling, and career pathing.

  • Support the HRBPs in organizational redesigns and structure changes.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making and leadership reviews.

Systems & Tools

  • Leverage Workday to manage compensation processes, reporting, and data integrity.

  • Support system enhancements and testing related to compensation modules.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience in compensation, preferably with regional or global scope.

  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, market pricing, and regulatory requirements in North America.

  • Experience with organizational design and executive compensation is required.

  • Advanced Excel/data analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Proficiency in Workday.

  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or equivalent.

  • Experience with compensation in Mexico and Canada labor markets is highly valued.

  • Proficiency in Spanish.

  • Project management/coordinate experience.

  • Experience working in a global matrix environment.
