Full Job Description
The Regional Commercial Excellence Leader leads the strategy, deployment, and continuous improvement of Commercial Excellence initiatives across the region in alignment with business priorities and global Commercial Excellence standards. This role serves as a strategic business partner to regional leadership, enabling commercial effectiveness through CRM optimization, pipeline governance, sales enablement, capability development, and process standardization.

The position plays a critical role in driving commercial discipline, strengthening performance insights and effectiveness, and accelerating adoption of tools, processes, and best practices that support sustainable growth. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, change leadership, analytical capability, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Global Commercial Excellence team to share best practices, align on strategy, and develop initiatives that support strategic business objectives, enhance sales effectiveness, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Lead and execute commercial excellence initiatives in the region
  • Partner with regional commercial leadership to strengthen pipeline management, sales process discipline, and customer engagement strategies
  • Establish and govern CRM/pipeline performance metrics that provide actionable insights and support data-driven business decisions
  • Drive adoption, consistency, and accountability related to Commercial Excellence tools, processes, and operating cadences across the commercial organization
  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert and strategic advisor for CRM functionality, commercial processes, data governance, reporting, and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to optimize CRM functionality, reporting, and workflows in support of business objectives; partner with global and regional stakeholders to prioritize and implement enhancements
  • Lead and develop the regional Commercial Excellence support team through coaching, prioritization, performance management, and capability development
  • Drive execution and compliance of commercial capability development, including annual assessment, training, reporting, and effectiveness measurement (Skill Director)
  • Lead Differentiated Service Model (DSM) efforts in the region owning the customer segmentation assignment process and supporting service model alignment and performance reporting
  • Lead regional key account management processes utilizing global templates, tools, and guidelines
  • Partner with Sales Leadership and Global Commercial Excellence to shape and optimize pricing strategy and deploy best-in-class tools that enhance commercial performance
  • Lead governance and optimization of sales incentive processes, including target setting, tracking, payout calculations, and SIP system deployment
  • Champion continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives that enhance commercial effectiveness, operational consistency, and customer focus

  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding commercial sales processes, pipeline management, customer engagement strategies, and sales enablement principles.
  • Leadership & Influence: Leadership and influence skills with demonstrated ability to drive alignment, accountability, and behavioral change across cross-functional and commercial teams.
  • Collaboration: ability to effectively partner with commercial leadership, global teams, operations, marketing, IT, and support functions to achieve objectives
  • Change Agility: Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset for new processes, tools, systems.
  • Process Discipline: Driving standardization and adherence to core Commercial Excellence processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • 10+ years progressive business experience supporting commercial organizations, sales operations or Commercial Excellence initiatives
  • CRM knowledge and experience: strategy, execution, functionality, data and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across all levels of an organization
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills
  • Proven change leadership capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive organizational adoption.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
