About the Job

MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist with an expertise in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine to be based at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. We have a robust regional anesthesia program, with over 3,400 blocks performed per year for our burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma surgery patients.

Our growing Acute Pain Service emphasizes peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheter placement, enhanced patient recovery, and opioid-sparing care, with a broad range of regional techniques including upper and lower extremity, chest wall, abdominal, and specialty blocks.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice.
  • Fellowship training or significant experience in regional anesthesia or regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine.
