Journeyperson Metal Fabricator. The position offers compensation of $46.27/hour, extended health and pension benefits through the Boilermakers Local 191 union, on the job training and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions to produce fabricated weldments.
- Ensure parts are produced to specifications, verify work piece dimensions are correct and made within tolerances
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the workplace.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Metal Fabricator trade certificate, or equivalent international experience.
- 3+ years of metal fabrication experience working primarily with mild steel and structural steel components.
- Proven ability to construct complex fabricated weldments from drawing.
- Ability to lift parts weighing 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Reliable transportation and available for shift work as needed.
- Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts and working from heights with fall restraint equipment preferred.
