Your opportunity:

The Rotman Office of Recruitment, Admissions and Business Development (RABD) recruits and admits talented professionals who aim to push their limits, expand their creativity and develop their leadership potential via one of the School's nine twelve graduate management programs. The RABD team will achieve this goal using industry-standard best practices in strategic enrolment management.

As a Recruitment Officer, you will be part of an innovative, dynamic and collaborative team committed to delivering an exceptional experience for prospective candidates of Rotman's graduate programs. A critical member of the RABD team, this role will lead initiatives to attract both domestic and international students to Rotman's suite of nine twelve graduate business programs. This role works in close collaboration with colleagues in admissions and marketing, with the expectation that in busy periods the incumbent may step in to help the admissions team as appropriate.

Reporting to the Director, Graduate Program Recruitment you will work with colleagues across the RABD portfolio and the Rotman School to achieve the School's recruitment goals, and be a key contributor to a dynamic and strategic enrolment management-driven recruitment and admissions operation dedicated to shaping the incomingclasses of transformational graduate business programs at the University of Toronto.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
  • Determining appropriate schools to visit based on an analysis of feedback and market trends
  • Delivering student recruitment presentations
  • Planning and conducting conversion and yield management activities
  • Conducting post-event evaluation, analysis and recommendations for changes
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
  • Providing cross-functional support across Recruitment and Admissions during peak periods by conducting interviews, reviewing and assessing admissions applications, maintaining records, and collating briefing materials for meeting as needed


Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years working in enrollment management, recruitment, admissions, student affairs or a related area, preferably in a graduatebusiness program environment
  • Demonstrated experience applying fundamental concepts of strategic enrolment management in a student recruitment setting
  • Experience conducting student recruitment presentations to a wide range of audiences and promoting programs.
  • Knowledgeable on issues and trends in graduate business education
  • Experience with CRM systems in a recruitment setting strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable presenting to groups (5-300)
  • Solid interpersonal, intercultural and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Access)
