About the RoleA fast-growing AI infrastructure company in San Francisco is hiring its first dedicated
Recruiter. The team is intentionally lean and high-caliber - currently around 15 people - and every hire meaningfully shapes the company's trajectory. You'll work directly alongside founders and world-class AI researchers to identify and sign exceptional engineers and GTM leaders. This is a high-ownership, in-person role with a strong people-ops component.
The company operates in the
AI/ML space, building infrastructure for reinforcement learning environments and post-training data - a technically sophisticated product you'll need to understand deeply in order to pitch it credibly to top candidates.
What You'll Do- Own end-to-end recruiting across engineering, product, and GTM roles.
- Build and optimize recruiting operations and tooling, automating workflows wherever possible.
- Partner closely with founders and team leads to define role requirements, evaluation criteria, and interview processes.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the product to effectively pitch technical candidates.
- Source top candidates through high-signal and unconventional channels.
- Screen candidates for both technical competence and product/market intuition.
- Support onboarding and new hire ramp.
- Help define and run performance review processes, leveling, and feedback systems.
What We're Looking ForMust-haves:- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience owning technical (engineering, product) and GTM roles end-to-end.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts - you can hold your own in a conversation with an engineer.
- Hands-on experience at an early-stage startup; comfortable working independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Experience building and optimizing recruiting ops and tooling, including workflow automation.
- Proven track record of sourcing through high-signal and non-traditional channels.
- Experience evaluating candidates via portfolios and projects, not just resumes.
Nice-to-haves:- Familiarity with recruiting tools such as Ashby, Juicebox, or Clay.
- Experience with AI-assisted or "vibe coding" approaches to automating recruiting workflows.
- Exposure to or ownership of People Ops / HR functions (onboarding, performance reviews, leveling).
- Experience evaluating non-traditional candidate profiles.
- Strong instincts for bar-setting and talent quality in elite, small-team environments.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
- Visa sponsorship is available.
