Master Planning Department - while experience as a RE Project Manager Construction is helpful, this opportunity requires focus in the follow areas:Developing collaborative relationships, strong communication skills and business & financial acumen will be key competencies.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand AAFES worldwide strategies, mission objectives, and operational requirements, and translate them into executable facility, infrastructure, and capital investment recommendations that support current and future business needs.
  • Works closely with senior leadership and installation POCs to understand mission and long-term strategy, creating a facilities master plan document and maintaining it regularly.
  • Strong communication to translate technical project details into clear implications for Exchange leadership, installation community planners and DPW/CE while capturing their requirements into designs.


Technical (Preferred/Required Skills/Systems):
  • MICROSOFT OFFICE PRODUCTS - Required
  • CAD - Preferred
  • MICROSOFT PROJECT - Preferred


Job Qualifications

Five years of experience in design and construction of major commercial building types and one of the following certifications:
PE - Professional Engineer
RA - Registered Architect
AICP - American Institute of Certified Planners

Or

Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering and three years of experience in design and construction of major commercial building types.

  • Major Duties

    Coordinate between internal business units, contracting officers, military installation command and engineering, A/E, and construction contractors during design and construction phases of project.
    Ensure project design and construction documents are completed timely and within established standards to facilitate project completion and close-out.
    Ensure all regulations, processes, and procedures are followed. Utilize design software for project design.
    Determine overall project budget and complete required construction documents.
    Monitor all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports.
    Monitor task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans.
    Coordinate and provide oversight for ordering and installation of Exchange furnished equipment and fixtures.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
