Full Job Description
STV has an opening for a Rail Vehicle Quality Inspector to work out of a client yard site in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will be interested in working in yard and maintenance sites to inspect and verify Rail Car Systems.

The Rail Vehicle Quality Inspector we are seeking must possess minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and Quality oversight of Rail vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our clients' requirements throughout the United States Rail vehicle programs.

The inspector must be experienced and knowledgeable in the following areas:
  • Rail Vehicle assembly methods and processes.
  • Rail Vehicle subsystems including door system, interior assemblies, HVAC, trucks, communications, electrical systems, etc.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs as they relate to the Rail Vehicle industry.
  • Conducting daily inspections of Rail Vehicle manufacturing and design change implementations at the Rail Authority yard locations.
  • Conducting supplier audits and preparing associated reports for program management and client.
  • Preparing weekly status reports for program management and client.
  • Familiar with safety requirements and practices of the Rail Vehicle industry.


Required Skills
  • Technical School or Community College Education or equivalent job experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Rail inspection experience.
  • Experience Rail Vehicle Systems, and quality control programs and activities.


Compensation Range:
$97,980.00 - $111,341.00
