General Summary

Reporting to Meals & Beverages VP of R&D, the Technical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating technical processes that support effective R&D execution and technical readiness. This role supports the routing and tracking of R&D trial approvals, technical training and onboarding compliance, technical documentation, costs, and third-party certifications, including coordination of R&D financial processes, ensuring accurate budget tracking, forecasting, and visibility of spend across M&B categories.

This position helps ensure consistency, visibility, and compliance across critical R&D technical workflows for Campbell. The incumbent will partner closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and external partners to support technical readiness and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, along with a passion for continuous improvement, solution orientation, and a bias for action.

Principal Accountabilities

Technical Operations & Readiness
• Route, track, and maintain Special Batch notes to support R&D trial approvals.
• Manage technical documentation to support audit readiness and traceability.
• Technical expenses, budget management and analysis across R&D.

Resource & Capacity Enablement
• Assist with developing and maintaining systems to assess resource bottlenecks within and beyond M&B R&D.
• Support prioritization and risk mitigation by providing data, tracking, and insights.

Budget Management & Financial Coordination
• Review and validate internal plant charges, including trial, line time, and related technical costs, ensuring appropriate allocation to projects and cost centers.
• Support development and maintenance of forward-looking budget forecasts, providing regular updates on spend trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in budget tracking tools, reporting processes, and financial discipline across R&D.

Technical Training & Onboarding Compliance
• Develop, implement, and track technical training and onboarding requirements for R&D teams.
• Monitor compliance and follow up with stakeholders to address gaps.

Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Establish and maintain a centralized technical repository for cross-functional documentation.
• Ensure documentation is current, accessible, and version controlled.

Third-Party Certification & Vendor Management
• Manage setup and coordination of third-party certifiers.
• Serve as liaison between certifiers, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D partners.

Job Complexity
  • Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and systems while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to partner across functions, quickly build relationships, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage structured problem solving, analytical skills, and sound judgment to mitigate technical and operational risk.
  • Curiosity and interest in improving technical processes and R&D ways of working.
  • Proactively anticipate obstacles and demonstrate flexibility in identifying alternative solutions to keep work on track.
  • Experience and Education
  • 2-4 years of experience in R&D, Quality, Regulatory, or technical operations roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required in a scientific, technical, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated readiness for the Applying proficiency level within the R&D Technical career path (Scientist I / Band H).
  • Microsoft, Docusign, SAP, Optiva, similar systems experience preferred.


Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$75,600-$104,000

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
