This role supports major capital construction initiatives by delivering disciplined cost management, estimating, and procurement analytics across complex, high-value projects. The team partners closely with global construction, engineering, procurement, and program leadership to enable cost certainty, informed decision-making, and overall project success in fast-paced, highly technical environments.

Position Overview:

The Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager / Construction Procurement Cost Analyst is responsible for managing project achievement estimates and developing should-cost models, with a strong emphasis on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. Cleanroom experience is highly desirable, with responsibilities spanning MEP, tool installation, Civil, Structural, and Architectural scopes, as well as equipment, spares, and facilities expense projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of project achievement estimates through multiple phases. Coordinate with third-party PQS or equivalent experience providers to ensure timely delivery and alignment with Micron standards.
  • Define estimating tasks, due dates, templates, and work breakdown structure alignment, and ensure reconciliation between EPC, AE, and PQS estimates while clearly identifying gaps, risks, and next steps.

  • Identify, assess, and validate cost and reporting data. Oversee centralized cost repositories and pricing databases. Develop dashboards and summaries that clearly share operational and financial insights with collaborators and leadership.
  • Partner closely with Construction, Procurement, Category Managers, Program Managers, and other functions to support global and regional process improvement initiatives and facilitate strategic discussions, meetings, and action-item tracking.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in cost management, quantity surveying, construction procurement, or analytics within large capital project environments.
  • Strong experience supporting MEP systems in cleanroom, hospital, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction procurement, should-cost methodology, and large-scale capital delivery programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and presentation software, with the ability to manage and analyze complex cost data.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing construction experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI to support advanced analytics, reporting, and automation.
  • Ability to build concise, executive-level presentations and communicate complex cost insights effectively to senior collaborators.
  • Strong collaborator management, consulting skills, and understanding of balanced procurement and ESG trends, with comfort working in a fast-paced, global environment and supporting occasional travel.
