Job DescriptionBAE Systems' C4ISR is seeking a strategic Procurement Analyst Senior to join our Fort Worth team. As a Procurement Analyst Senior, you will be responsible for the complete acquisition lifecycle: able to analyze purchase requisitions, initiate RFQs/RFPs, review bids, select vendors, negotiate terms and conditions, and pricing of materials or services to be procured and issue/manage subsequent purchase orders. The Procurement Analyst Senior will procure specialized materials, equipment, supplies and services based on program specific requirements and specifications in accordance with FAR/DFAR and corporate policies. Establishes preferred suppliers while setting expectations and activities to enable cost reduction from those suppliers. Works with the respective material planner to identify cost reduction opportunities from the future planned order release.
Additional responsibilities includes:
- Work with peer Buyers and Procurement Managers to meet objectives within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve program cost targets.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with key suppliers.
- Enter and maintain Procurement documents in ERP system
- Develop new and manage existing supplier relationships
- Lead formal negotiations
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoices/payment issues to ensure prompt payment and avoid delays
- Coordinate with Receiving departments to resolve receipt issues
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply base.
- Ability to prepare reports and documentation
- Ability to perform effectively and independently
- Review, analyze, and report procurement related data within ERP and Excel
- Perform price analysis and source justifications for all procurements

Required Skills and Education- Typically Bachelor's and 4 years experience or or equivalent experience in related discipline
- 4 years or more of directly related work experience, preferably in a government-contracting environment
- Ability to work and succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations and understanding of the role of procurement in complex industries.
- Experience in buying across various commodities (electronics, mechanical, PWB's, cables, optics...)
- Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers.

- Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and the nature of flow down requirements.
- Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation)
- Understanding/knowledge of CPSR audits and requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- U.S. Citizenship
