Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant Science (e.g., Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering).
• 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing or related fields focusing on quality and food safety, R&D, or supply chain.
• Experience in Auditing; Lead Auditor Certification is a plus but must be obtained within 6 months (training provided).
• Understanding of Quality Management and Food Safety Systems.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to execute and drive initiatives independently.
• Ability to conduct investigations and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market quality panels and provide training and improvement recommendations for product quality.
• Lead qualifications and risk assessments at co-packers and support External Manufacturers during new product introductions.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with Global Quality and Food Safety standards for the Canadian market.
• Investigate and resolve quality and food safety incidents through the incident management program.
• Manage non-conforming products within the Canadian market.
• Evaluate risks through Concessions and Change Controls to assess impacts on the market unit.
• Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in product quality, process capability, and customer complaint reduction.
