What you will be doingWe are seeking a Quality Manager to establish and lead end-to-end quality systems for a growing suite of air and ground side products throughout the entire product lifecycle. This role requires building quality processes from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment while ensuring compliance with stringent defense industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing quality control and a proven track record of implementing reliability programs for mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities- Establish comprehensive quality management systems spanning engineering requirements through field deployment for defense electronics products
- Develop supplier quality programs including vendor audits, component certifications, and performance scorecards for mission-critical defense systems
- Implement quality control processes for high-volume electronics manufacturing including incoming inspection, in-process monitoring, and final testing protocols
- Lead reliability engineering initiatives including failure analysis, accelerated life testing, and field performance tracking to ensure mission readiness
- Create quality documentation frameworks to support defense contracting compliance, regulatory audits, and customer qualification requirements
- Drive cross-functional quality improvements across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to minimize defects and optimize product reliability
- Architect and build a world class quality team from the ground up
You should have the following- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of quality management experience
- Proven experience implementing quality systems for high-volume electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong background in reliability engineering including failure analysis, MTBF calculations, accelerated life testing, and field data analysis
- Hands-on experience with defense industry standards including MIL-STD specifications, ITAR compliance, and government contracting quality requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier quality management including vendor audits, incoming inspection protocols, and supply chain risk assessment
- Proficiency with quality management tools including statistical process control, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality management software systems
- Experience building quality processes from scratch in startup or high-growth manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of electronics testing methodologies including environmental testing, EMI/EMC compliance, and component-level failure analysis
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives across engineering and manufacturing
Nice to have- Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management system implementation and auditing
- Background in RF/microwave electronics quality control and testing methodologies
- Previous startup experience in defense technology or dual-use technology companies
- Experience with government customer quality reviews and defense contractor audits
US Salary Range$150,000 - $225,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
