Full Job Description
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Quality Manager. This position is based out of our Edmonton facility and offers benefits from day one.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93 000 - $117 000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Are you enthusiastic about quality management? Do you have experience in ensuring and monitoring product quality and process improvement? Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent will drive implementation within the department of key corporate initiatives including Eaton Lean System (ELSS) and Eaton Quality System (EQS).

What Will You Do?

Quality System Implementation
You will provide leadership in implementing the Eaton Lean Six Sigma System (ELSS) and the Eaton Quality System (EQS). Additionally, you will adhere to ISO 9001 quality procedures and work instructions, actively participating in the quality improvement process. Your role will also involve providing leadership with Eaton's Management System for environment, health, safety, and security (MESH).

Compliance and Audits
You will ensure full compliance of industry standard ands codes required by customer and utilities bodies. Furthermore, you will facilitate and support all required audits, including ISO 9001, CSA, and UL.

Continuous Improvement
Driving the continuous improvement of all aspects of the quality systems for the site will be a key responsibility. You will develop, deploy, and conduct quality system training as required. Collecting, analyzing, and publishing applicable quality data and metrics will also be part of your role.

Quality Audit Management
You will manage the internal quality audit programs and liaise with external regulatory, advisory, and certification bodies. Coordinating and following up on all quality corrective and preventative actions will be essential.

Management System Reviews
Preparing Management System reviews and ensuring the integrity of the manufacturing test and inspection processes, including calibration, will be part of your duties. You will take overall ownership of all QMS documentation and the effective operation of the document control process, Warranty, and Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process.

Maintenance and Integrity
Ensuring the maintenance and integrity of MSA, Capability Studies, PFMEA, and Control Plans will be crucial. You will ensure active participation, as required, in Root Cause Analysis and Error Proofing for line stoppage issues and champion Error Proofing activities for the facility.

Non-Conformance and Supplier Quality
Operating, in conjunction with the Materials team, an effective non-conformance and supplier quality process (WISPER) will be part of your responsibilities. You will ensure facility-wide adherence to the requirements of the Eaton Quality System (EQS) and ISO 9001 Quality Management System as detailed in procedures and work instructions.

The candidate will require strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, which will be essential when working with front-line employees in a fast-paced environment. A proven ability with computers and various types of software will be essential for the candidate, in addition to a strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9000
  • Experience in a quality management environment

  • No relocation is offered for this position. Candidates must be able to work onsite at our Edmonton facility.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certification (Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified ISO auditor or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and exposure to industry 4.0 tools.
