Full Job Description
About the roleWe are scaling an autonomous vehicle fleet from prototype builds to serial production, spanning PCBA production, compute box assembly, and vehicle upfitting across in-house facilities and contract manufacturers. You will run day-to-day quality on the floor: inspections, gates, root cause, and supplier issues. Hands-on role, not a desk job.

What you'll do
  • Run release gates for boards, box assembly, and vehicle upfitting; no unit ships without passing your checks
  • Execute incoming, in-process, and final inspection against defined standards
  • Track quality metrics (FPY, defect rate, rework hours) and report weekly
  • Drive root-cause analysis on failures (8D, 5-Why) and verify corrective actions stick
  • Manage quality issues with suppliers and CMs: containment, rejections, SCARs
  • Maintain quality documentation: checklists, control plans, inspection records, traceability
  • Train technicians on workmanship standards and inspection criteria

What we are looking for
  • 5+ years in quality roles for complex hardware: automotive, AV, EV, aerospace, robotics, or similar
  • Hands-on inspection and floor experience; comfortable in a production environment, not just audits and slides
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, GD&T basics, and standard RCA tools
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and holding suppliers accountable
  • Startup-ready: builds the process while running it, no existing playbook required
