Job Title: Quality Engineer

Working Pattern: Onsite 9/80

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

A 9/80 compressed workweek means an employee works 80 hours over nine days in a two-week period. Generally, this means working nine hours Monday - Thursday, with alternating eight-hour Fridays and "off" Fridays

Position Summary:

A new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer. As a Quality Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you'll work directly with manufacturing operations entities to ensure inspections, process control analyses and audits are conducted on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet specifications.

What you will be doing:
  • Investigate customer escapes and performs eight-step problem solving analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes and procedures
  • Reporting of Rolls-Royce Corporate Quality performance metrics
  • Develop programs to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications, and agency guidelines


Basic Requirements:
  • Associate degree with 3+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience, OR
  • Master's degree, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 5+ years of Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident


Preferred Requirements:
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
  • SAP & Database project experience using C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, VBA, VBS and/or SQL
  • Reading blueprints, employing inspection techniques & Lean Six Sigma tools
  • GD&T system experience


Mental & Physical Requirements:
  • Lift 50 lbs
  • Pass vision test
