Full Job Description
Overview:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, SQL, and end-to-end testing across backend and UI layers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive in identifying quality gaps, and comfortable working in fast-paced Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python.

Perform UI, backend, and API testing to ensure system reliability, functionality, and performance.

Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and test verification.

Validate data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to understand requirements and define test strategies.

Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with teams to ensure timely resolution.

Participate in test planning, test case design, and code reviews.

Ensure high test coverage, reusability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in software quality engineering or testing.

Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation using Playwright.

Experience with UI automation tools, preferably Playwright with Python.

Solid experience in API/backend testing, including REST APIs and tools such as Postman or similar.

Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.

Hands-on experience testing data pipelines and ETL processes.

Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.

Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar services.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exposure to Databricks is preferred.
