Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo, IA
Function: Factory Engineering (CA)
Title: Quality Engineer - 124118
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer for John Deere Tractor Cab Assembly Operations (TCAO) location in Waterloo, IA, you will support the factory manufacturing operations to improve business performance. In addition, you will:

  • Provide tactical line support for production. Investigate product and process defects for root cause and corrective action recommendation.
  • Support introduction of new products and current product change control.
  • Collect, analyze, and execute assembly control plans and data streams.
  • Work with supplier quality for supplied part issues. Support Development and Execution of Operator Fulfillment Process Quality Initiatives.
  • Reinforce published policies and procedures.
  • Support quality planning activities.
  • Support external regulatory audit (ISO).

What Skills You Need

  • Effective communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Experience in the use of and applying quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience in the use of manufacturing information systems (SAP, W-planner/MPPlanner, 3D modeling).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with formal NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action) processes.


What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Controlled manufacturing process experience in manufacturing engineering, supply management, quality engineering, or operations ASQ or Six Sigma Training or certifications.
  • Experience using advanced quality tools aligned with ASQs Book of Knowledge.
  • Experience with Ag equipment applications. Experience with Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.).


Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering/Technology or equivalent related work experience
