About the Role:

As a CBRE Reliability Engineer, you will support asset reliability and performance through Predictive Maintenance (PdM), condition monitoring, and reliability best practices. A critical part of this role is delivering PdM training, technical coaching, and hands-on support to build technician capability across the network. This role requires up to 75% travel to support site reliability and training needs.

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as a key resource for Predictive Maintenance (PdM) training and capability development across supported sites. Deliver and support technical training on PdM technologies, tools, and standardized processes.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and technical guidance in condition-based and predictive maintenance practices, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis, and other applicable technologies.
  • Support the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of PdM training materials, procedures, assessments, and technical competency programs.
  • Partner with Reliability, Operations, Maintenance, and Training teams to identify skill gaps and improve technician capability in equipment condition monitoring, fault identification, diagnostics, and early failure detection.
  • Define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an asset's maintenance plan. Provide technical support to the site for mechanical equipment and fixed assets.
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to perform the evaluation of assets.
  • Develop risk management plans that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and restore routine technical service and equipment problems.
  • Identify faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all established policies and procedures are maintained. Maintain documentation of routine maintenance schedules, system configurations, applications, and technical reference materials.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus and convinces to reach agreement.
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • This role requires the ability to travel up to 75%, including travel to various sites and business locations as needed.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Reliability Engineer position is $100,000 annually [or $48.07 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Reliability Engineer position is $115,000 annually [or $55.28 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
