QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control program to ensure all construction activities comply with contract requirements, engineering standards, and applicable codes. This role works closely with the Engineering Manager and Construction team to ensure that all systems are installed, inspected, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications and quality expectations.

Works closely with: Construction Manager, Project Manager, Superintendents, and Commissioning Team
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Program Management
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in alignment with contract requirements and company standards
• Establish inspection and test plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality procedures for all major scopes of work
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
Inspection & Field Oversight
• Oversee field QA/QC activities and coordinate daily inspection activities
• Verify that construction work meets approved drawings, specifications, and submittals
• Monitor contractor quality performance and enforce corrective actions when required
Punchlist & Turnover
• Lead development and management of pre-final and final punchlists
• Track, document, and drive closure of all punchlist items
• Ensure systems are complete, documented, and ready for turnover to commissioning and operations
Testing & Commissioning Support
• Coordinate and verify completion of inspections, testing, and system startups
• Ensure all required documentation (test reports, certifications, as-builts) is complete and accurate
• Support commissioning activities and confirm readiness for system handover
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions
• Prepare regular quality reports for project leadership, identifying risks, trends, and areas for improvement
• Ensure proper document control for all QA/QC-related deliverables
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances
• Lead root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Work collaboratively with engineering and construction teams to resolve quality issues
Subcontractor & Vendor Quality
• Review and approve subcontractor quality plans and procedures
• Monitor fabrication and supplier quality as needed (including shop inspections, if applicable)
• Ensure delivered materials and equipment meet project specifications
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7-15+ years of QA/QC experience in large-scale construction projects (industrial, commercial, energy, or infrastructure preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and inspection/testing requirements
• Experience with commissioning and project turnover processes
• Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), CQE, or similar are a plus
