Position OverviewThe
QA Lead will plan, coordinate, govern, and report on end-to-end testing for enterprise applications and integrations. This role bridges
business requirements and technical validation, supervises testers, ensures requirements traceability, and provides management with clear
release-readiness and quality-risk information.
The candidate must also be capable of
reviewing and writing automation code when needed.
Required Skills- 7+ years of QA/testing experience in enterprise software environments
- 2+ years as a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Senior QA with formal leadership responsibilities
- Hands-on Playwright or Selenium automation experience; Playwright + TypeScript strongly preferred
- Strong BRD/FR analysis, RTM design, requirements traceability, and coverage management
- Strong API testing and SQL/database validation
- Experience supervising testers, reviewing test artifacts, and leading defect triage
- Experience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices
- Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans
- Experience with Smoke, Functional, API, Integration, System, Regression, E2E, UAT, Database, and Data Pipeline testing
- Data pipeline / ETL validation experience
Highly Desired Skills- Playwright + TypeScript framework design and migration from Selenium
- Reusable fixtures, Page Objects, API clients, test-data factories, and custom reporting
- Performance testing exposure
- Ability to coordinate specialized performance or security testing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Leadership & Governance- Serve as Test Lead for programs, releases, modules, and production-readiness efforts.
- Develop test strategy, scope, entry/exit criteria, estimates, schedules, dependencies, and execution plans.
- Assign and supervise testing activities and mentor testers.
- Review test artifacts and enforce QA standards.
- Coordinate with BAs, Developers, Product Owners, PMs, DevOps, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
Requirements & Traceability- Review BRDs, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, data mappings, and API specifications.
- Identify missing, ambiguous, conflicting, or untestable requirements.
- Translate requirements into test scenarios, test cases, test data, preconditions, expected results, and automation candidates.
- Maintain measurable traceability from requirements through testing and defects.
Azure DevOps Test Plans- Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases, configurations, test runs, evidence, and defect links in ADO.
- Maintain relationships between requirements, test cases, executions, defects, retests, and closure.
- Use ADO queries and dashboards to report progress, blockers, defects, coverage, and release readiness.
Test Design & Execution- Design and review positive, negative, boundary value, equivalence partitioning, decision table, state transition, role/authorization, data-driven, and risk-based tests.
- Coordinate Smoke, Functional, API, Integration, System, Regression, E2E, UAT, Performance-support, Database, and Data Pipeline testing.
- Ensure failures are reproducible and test evidence is complete.
Defect & Release Management- Lead or participate in defect triage and severity/priority decisions.
- Ensure defects contain environment/build details, reproducible steps, expected/actual results, evidence, and requirement/test links.
- Provide evidence-based release recommendations and communicate residual quality risks.
