Job Overview

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Responsibilities

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager onsite in Tampa, FL to lead, implement, and maintain enterprise-level quality and compliance programs supporting U.S. Department of War (DOW) contracts. This role ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements while driving continuous process improvement across programs and corporate functions. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of direct auditing experience managing and maintaining certifications and appraisals aligned with:

  • ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018
  • ISO/IEC 27001:2022
  • ISO 9001: 2015
  • CMMI-DEV Level 3

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Compliance management and continuous improvement of the company's quality program through utilizing quality assurance concepts, methodologies, and practices.
  • Maintain the company's ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000 certifications and CMMI for Development appraisal.
  • Assess departments, programs/projects through internal audits and spot checks; establish audit schedules, agendas, and generate reports for the Executive management team.
  • Complete program QA audits as required.
  • Manage external assessments required for ISO and CMMI certifications.
  • Aid in the creation and maintenance of company policies, procedures, plans, processes, etc.
  • Aid in the creation, coordination, and presentation of training efforts company wide.
  • Track corporate performance metrics and report performance to the Executive management team.
  • Work with company stakeholders to create, correct, and improve detailed business processes.
  • Organize and lead Management Reviews which includes preparing agendas, collecting performance data and other presentation inputs, documenting meeting minutes, action items, and ensuring timely follow-up and closure of actions.
  • Review and contribute to proposal efforts as needed.
  • SharePoint maintenance and development across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Occasional travel is required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain ITILv4 certification within 120 days of hire.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Quality Management experience is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with auditing is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience overseeing certified management systems, including audit readiness, compliance maintenance, and continuous improvement for:
  • Experience identifying defects in processes and in opening and monitoring corrective actions
  • Experience monitoring and determining the effectiveness of quality program operations, processes, procedures, etc.
  • Skilled and experienced in Microsoft Office tool suite including SharePoint, Project and Visio.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication - strong written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities; task and goal oriented, adept at initiating and prioritizing tasks.
  • Working knowledge of DoD contracting requirements and FAR/DFARS.
  • Experience implementing risk management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualification

  • Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and/or ISO 20000)
  • CMMI for Development/Services Associate Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification
  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and CMMC L2
  • SharePoint knowledge/experience in maintaining sites, lists and libraries
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, compliance-driven environments

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field required OR an Associate's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field plus an additional two (2) years of relevant experience, OR an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted
