Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer - Electronics

Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to plan, implement, and administer cost effective Quality Programs to assure that a system is in place which will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers.

The hardware that we produce is very complex, and therefore we will be looking for someone who understands the critical nature of it.  This position is located onsite at our aerospace manufacturing facility in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for Quality Assurance Engineer role, here are the skills you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

  • 3 years Professional Experience as an Engineer (Quality, Manufacturing or Product Engineer) in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered).

It’d be great if you also had…

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.

  • Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or other regulated industry.

  • General knowledge in the areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, AS9100 Quality Systems.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills.

  • Exposure to ERP systems.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

  • Play an important part on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Sikorsky for military aircraft.

  • Act as the Moog liaison and representative to support Government (DCMA) programs, audits and requirements.

  • Support production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.

  • Activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, traceability and audit support.

  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes and final inspection.

  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.

  • Optimize cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and team building qualities and has been effective in resolving complex quality problems using a team approach.

  • Be self-motivated and follow through on assignments with limited supervision.

  • Be able to work on several assignments and programs concurrently.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $85,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually
