QA Architect Job Summary
The QA Architect is responsible for defining and enabling Quality Engineering practices across multiple delivery teams. This role provides leadership in test strategy, test automation, risk-based testing, and quality governance while helping teams build quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
The QA Architect partners with business, technology, and delivery teams to improve software quality, delivery efficiency, and testing effectiveness. This position also helps teams understand and operationalize enterprise Technology Risk and Governance requirements, ensuring non-negotiable policy obligations are incorporated into Agile delivery practices and software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and promote Quality Engineering standards, testing strategies, and best practices.
• Design and support scalable test automation solutions for UI and API testing.
• Guide teams on Risk-Based Testing (RBT), Test Impact Analysis (TIA), and regression optimization.
• Support Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and Continuous Testing practices.
• Mentor Quality Engineers, developers, and delivery teams on testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
• Conduct reviews, assessments, and audits of testing approaches and deliverables.
• Help teams understand and implement Technology Risk and Governance requirements.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and delivery partners to improve quality and delivery outcomes.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and solutions.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
• Experience designing or implementing test automation solutions for UI and API testing.
• Strong understanding of test strategy, risk-based testing, and software quality practices.
• Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams.
• Experience mentoring team members and promoting quality best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical Knowledge
Experience or familiarity with many of the following:
• UI test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
• API testing tools (Karate, Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
• Risk-Based Testing (RBT) and Test Impact Analysis (TIA)
• SDLC and STLC practices
• Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
• CI/CD and DevOps concepts
• Performance testing concepts
• Test management tools such as Jira and Xray
• Defect management and root cause analysis
• Quality metrics and reporting

Job Description- Responsible for development and support of processes, practices and tools necessary to produce quality products/services and to manage risk.
- Researches and recommends hardware and software purchases for software quality assurance program. Selects and implements formal QA methodologies.
- Architects and implements agile testing practices and tools. Evaluates, recommends and implements enterprise-wide defect-tracking software.
- Assists in planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for new programs and projects. Conducts audits and reviews.
- Supports Quality Assurance specialists on programs or projects. Conducts program reviews and complex process audits.

Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $91,000.00 - $169,000.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
