JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer III in  Test at JPMorganChase with in the Commercial & Investment Bank Digital & Platform Services  , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. you'll have the opportunity to shape our testing strategy, mentor team members, and drive innovation in test automation practices. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Job responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, RestAssured, and Playwright.
  • Perform comprehensive testing including functional, accessibility, integration, regression, performance, and API testing.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and actively contribute to the overall test strategy.
  • Document and track defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, effectiveness, and efficiency through innovative testing approaches.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and reliable deployments.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated testing scenarios.

     

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, BDD frameworks, Cucumber, and Playwright.
  • Experience in UI, database, and API testing.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as RestAssured and Postman.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Proven experience in software test automation.
  • Proficient in using SDLC tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Experience integrating and utilizing AI tools for test automation and analysis.
  • Experience with component, contract, integration, acceptance, end-to-end, accessibility, and performance testing.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitHub, and similar tools.
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright, JMeter, BlazeMeter, PactFlow, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks.
  • Experience in developing in-sprint test automation scripts.
