Job Summary:
The QA Automation Engineer will support Agile automated software testing efforts for digital products and platforms. The role will work closely with software product developers and analysts to configure, integrate, execute, and maintain QA automation tools and platforms, develop test automation scripts and frameworks, validate software releases, and support high-quality product deployments. The engineer will contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of the software quality assurance function while following industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform advanced software quality assurance testing and automation activities in collaboration with software product teams.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Configure, integrate, and operate QA automation software, platforms, and testing frameworks.
• Support software release validation and deployment activities to ensure product quality.
• Apply software QA testing standards, automation concepts, tools, platforms, and frameworks.
• Manage software configuration activities, including version control, change control, and configuration builds.
• Develop and execute automated testing using Selenium WebDriver and other applicable automation frameworks.
• Perform testing across browser, device, and operating system environments, including usability, load, integration, and performance testing.
• Perform functional, integration, system integration, regression, acceptance, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web services, XML, and WSDL using tools such as SoapUI and validate services across different environments and versions.
• Evaluate software independently to verify that applications function according to defined user requirements.
• Collaborate with developers and managers on code reviews, defect identification, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Support testing of claims-related applications and HIPAA-related requirements.
• Configure and manage application hosting environments such as Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere for Java web applications.
• Validate web applications, browsers, SSL, encryption, and secure implementation practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, tools, and testing practices.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent technical programming experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with software QA testing and automation.
• Advanced experience with at least one test automation platform or framework, including Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, C#, VB, Python, Ruby, Perl, C, C++, or an equivalent programming language.
• Experience with software configuration management, version control, and change control.
• Experience with QA tools or platforms supporting test and release management, source control, automated code analysis, and defect tracking.
• Experience with web, device, and operating system testing.
• Experience with functional, integration, system integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing web services, XML, and WSDL using SoapUI or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, web browsers, SSL, encryption methodologies, and secure implementations.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and/or IBM WebSphere for hosting Java web applications.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, independent problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with enterprise IT solutions and technology software product teams.
• Experience with tools such as Sauce Labs, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, Eclipse IDE, IntelliJ IDEA, SourceTree, Automation Anywhere, MuleSoft, and TestNG.
• Experience with load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with enterprise applications such as SAP ERP, Java or .NET web portals and websites, IBM Content Services Suite, Adobe AEM, or WordPress.
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, Rational Unified Process (RUP), or other software development methodologies.
• Experience demonstrating independent decision-making and problem-solving for complex technical issues.
• Strong technical writing and professional customer communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
