Industrial Project ManagerWhat YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
In this position, you will get to:
- Manage profitability of industrial and commercial EHT (Electric Heat Trace) projects, by ensuring that appropriate cost and schedule controls are utilized.
- Plans, organizes and directs all design engineering, procurement, system installation, and commissioning activities for projects.
- Manage revenue, costs and gross margin against cost estimate for industrial and commercial projects.
- Monitors project financial status and controls costs during execution to maintain profit margins.
- Ensures that schedules are maintained and the projects proceed in accordance with the contract documents and customer expectations.
- Promote a safety first culture.
- Establishes customer relationship at appropriate level and manages expectations relative to scope, price and schedule. Captures scope change and effectively communicates this to the customer.
- Oversees the timely invoicing for an assigned project and ensures all monies are collected in an acceptable time frame.
- Verifies scope of work definition for assigned projects and ensures that the executed contract documents accurately reflect that which was portrayed in the commercial quotation.
- Technical design review/analysis as needed.
- Support design reviews and verify that engineering work complies with customer specifications, company standards, applicable codes, and industry regulations.
- Participate in field walks, constructability reviews, and installation verification activities.
You have:
- Construction Management or Engineering Bachelor's Degree required, technical degree (engineering) preferred.
- Position will require travel to customer sites ~ 25 % of the year.
- Previous experience in or with:
- 5+ years of Engineering or Construction experience
- Exposure to Heat Tracing technology is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner
- Knowledge of the engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience at a petrochemical facility or industrial site.
- Microsoft Office and reporting/scheduling software (P6, Microsoft Project, Access, etc.)
