Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation is actively hiring for a Project Engineer to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Project Engineering in the Technical Services & Supply Chain department, part of Pembina's Operations division.
Technical Services manages a comprehensive integrity management program, which includes Facility Integrity, Pipeline Integrity, Geotechnical, Corrosion Control, Asset Management, Product Quality and Measurement, Geographical Information System, Integrity Project Execution, and Automation Services. This team provides leading technical expertise that optimizes performance and minimizes operational and project risk.
As the Project Engineer you will wok closely with Integrity Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Corrosion Control, Operations, Pembina's External Affairs Team (which includes Land, Environmental, Regulatory, and Indigenous Relations stakeholders), Supply Chain, and Construction teams to safely develop and execute projects from concept through to completion.
Calgary is the preferred location; however, Sherwood Park, Drayton Valley, Whitecourt and Grande Prairie may be considered for the right candidate.

- Lead the development and execution of integrity-related projects including, but not limited to, integrity digs, geohazard mitigations, crossing upgrades, corrosion control initiatives, class location upgrades, rehabilitation and abandonment projects to maintain integrity of Pembina's existing facilities and pipeline systems;
- Oversee multiple projects with varying scope, budgets, and timelines while providing cost, schedule, risk, and forecast reporting;
- Accountable for the successful delivery of projects, including scope development, options analysis, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, operational impact optimization, cost control, engineering oversight, procurement, execution, commissioning, and project closeout;
- Coordinate project delivery through all stages of Pembina's Project Delivery Governance Lifecycle, ensuring alignment with established governance requirements and project objectives;
- Proactively collaborate with and coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to provide input and contribute to successful execution of integrity projects;
- Ensure projects comply with all applicable safety, technical, operational, commercial, maintenance, quality, and regulatory requirements;
- Participate in field visits and construction activities; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Geotechnical, or a related discipline);
- Must be a professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA, or Engineering Technologist diploma with Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation through ASET;
- 5 + years of project management and execution experience, with a strong understanding of pipeline construction methods and field execution practices;
- Experience executing integrity projects and collaborating with regulatory, environmental, land, and Indigenous relations stakeholders is considered an asset;
- Experience executing HDDs, in-stream Geotechnical mitigations and slope mitigation projects would be considered an asset;
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including CSA Z662, and experience working with regulatory requirements and agencies in Canada and the U.S. is considered an asset;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong influencing skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively without direct authority;
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders, deliver clear messages to diverse audiences, and drive continuous improvement initiatives; and
- Periodic travel to field locations is required to support project development, demonstrate safety leadership and monitor execution activities.
