The Opportunity:As a Process & Project Engineer, you'll lead engineering and capital improvement projects that enhance warehouse and distribution operations across our network. From concept development through commissioning and handover, you'll deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, safety, automation, and compliance. Working with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors, you'll play a key role in modernizing facilities and supporting strategic business objectives through continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing:- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and process improvement projects for warehouse and distribution operations.
- Develop engineering solutions, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, conceptual designs, and technical specifications.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and handover activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes through automation, mechanization, and material handling technologies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating operational performance and implementing sustainable engineering solutions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and engineering records.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration is preferred.
- 5+ years of engineering experience managing capital or process improvement projects in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contractor coordination.
- Experience with warehouse automation, material handling systems, process optimization, or industrial equipment is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Canadian building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Proficiency with engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to operating sites as required to support project execution.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus
