Graham is actively recruiting a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to support the Infrastructure Division. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Junior Mechanical Project Manager supports the delivery of mechanical construction projects or portfolios up to $50M, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client expectations. The role is involved across the full project lifecycle including planning, pre-construction, execution, financial management, HSE and quality while building strong client relationships. The incumbent also contributes to coordinating and mentoring project team members and leverages strong technical, leadership, and communication skills to support successful project delivery with limited supervision.
Your Role in Building What Matters - From Office to Site
Lead end-to-end project delivery: Manage all phases of the project lifecycle-from planning and pre-construction through execution and close-out for mechanical construction projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
Oversee project financial performance: Develop and monitor budgets, track costs, manage change orders, and ensure project work is delivered within budget while maintaining profitability
Manage project teams and subcontractors: Build and lead project teams, hire key personnel, and coordinate subcontractors and trades, providing mentorship and direction to drive successful project execution
Drive project planning, scheduling, and execution: Establish project plans, define roles and responsibilities, manage schedules and milestones, and ensure alignment with contract requirements and scope deliverables
Maintain client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders while supporting the successful delivery of mechanically intensive projects and identifying new business opportunities
The Right Tools for the Job
Education & Experience: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of project management experience, including proven experience leading mechanical or industrial construction projects of varying complexity
Technical & Project Skills: Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contract administration, and risk/claim management, with the ability to manage mechanical scopes, subcontractors, and technical deliverables using project management and scheduling tools
Core Competencies: Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful delivery of mechanically intensive projects with limited supervision
