Full Job Description
The Project Manager will lead the deployment of civil and tower construction projects, including managing customer relationship, developing the project strategy for execution, establishing and monitoring financial metrics, developing proposals, schedules, and performance elements, and executing project activities. The responsibilities include managing personnel, resources, subcontractors, and project materials to obtain business and financial objectives. Management responsibilities include leading teams for onsite efforts, updating project financials, managing project risks, and overseeing the entire project from kickoff to closeout. The project measurements are profitability, forecast, risk management, and reporting accuracy for various deployment projects. The Project Manager will be accountable to closely comply with corporate, project, safety, production, and industry standards. Additional responsibilities include leading financial and project forecasts, business and proposal strategies, proposal responses and submissions, reporting, and business/project reviews.

Business Management / Reporting
  • Provide financial analysis, scheduling, and risk management for the execution of assigned projects. The management of this spans from presales to post-sales support based on the proposed strategy to minimize risk (cost, schedule, and performance) and optimize financial results.
  • Report financial forecasts for revenue, cost, production, and support related to profit and loss.
  • Establish baseline financial performance and set goals for achieving revenue projections and business growth.
  • Develop and report on forecsts, proposals, business snapshots, and financial performance.

Project Management
  • Project execution, management, and ownership. MS Project will be used to manage resources, cost, revenue, etc. Projects must be up to date and report accurate tracking data.
  • Demonstrate civil and construction knowledge; to include all aspects of building a greenfield site, performing upgrades, and maintenance activities in support of tower and construction projects.
  • Develop, review, and manage documentation, deliverables, and other submissions per the contract and in accordance with the schedule and contract requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of government contracting, working with government personnel, and conducting Federal business.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's security and safety programs.

Teamwork
  • Develop interaction with other company personnel, contractors and customer representatives in a collaborative environment to meet organizational and project deadlines, outcomes, metrics, and mission objectives
  • Participate as a vital manager and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization
  • Promote the company vision for a team approach and maintain communications/dialogue with all employees, contractors and the customer to exchange information and gather ideas for continuous improvement and best practices

Reporting and Driving
  • Perform timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly to support reporting and payroll activities
  • Perform job-related reporting requirements per contract and corporate policies and practices
  • Operate a company vehicle in accordance with local laws/regulations
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
  • Keep assigned vehicle clean and orderly
  • Report maintenance requirements and/or damage in a timely manner
  • Maintain drive logs and DOT compliance records as required

Safety
  • Promotes, executes, and adheres to the company's safety program.
  • Manages and supervises daily and weekly on-site field safety briefings.
  • Manages and supervises safety meetings, conduct training sessions, and inspections.
  • Works in a safe, responsible manner without intentional or unintentional risks for injuring oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others.
  • Cooperates with safety personnel, supervisors, managers, and investigators to ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company and customer's safety policies.
  • Identifies and reports safety violations to safety personnel.


Education
  • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university (required)
  • Construction related degree (preferred)
  • PMP Preferred

Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on Project Management experience in tower or civil construction

Licenses/ Certification/ Registration
  • OSHA-10
  • OSHA-30 or EM385 (preferred)

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
  • Project management knowledge with demonstrated experience managing projects from Award to Final Acceptance by the customer.
  • Customer service experience and focus
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of organizational operating practices or procedures
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in project deployments
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Must have the ability to work long hours and some weekends and a willingness to assume a high level of responsibility for assigned projects
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
  • Costpoint knowledge preferred
