What you will do:

  • Actively participate in development and management of the scope of work, schedule, costs and risks of assigned major projects to ensure the project plan can be successfully accomplished
  • Understand and effectively use established project management systems and project management practices to achieve positive scope, schedule, quality and cost results
  • Actively monitor and report on the performance of assigned major project, using key performance indicators, and taking vital actions to correct adverse situations or trends
  • Establish a safe, healthy work environment for employees and contractors by driving accountability for safety performance and by regularly reviewing and communicating policies, practices, expectations and positive
    reporting.
  • Lead and manage project risks through identification, assessment and tracking. Mitigate project risk as appropriate and accept project risk where mitigation and avoidance will result in unacceptable outcomes for the project
  • Minimize the environmental impact of project activities with accountability for environmental compliance and practices as well as role modeling personal environmental responsibility.
  • Accountable for overall project cost, schedule and performance objectives of assigned capital projects for expanding and maintaining the plant, process and pipeline networks of the Company's business units. Project budgets can total more than $100 MM/year and are typically over 2+ years in duration. These will be projects of extreme complexity, involving FERC/State regulatory processes and federal agency permitting


Who you are:

You have:
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in the oil and natural gas industry with 3+ years actively engaged in project management in addition to having a bachelor's degree in an applicable subject area
  • Solid understanding of oil/gas pipeline and facilities construction
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulatory frameworks for oil/natural gas pipelines & facilities, including safety and environmental standards
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire

  • PMP Certification or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Project Management experience
  • Engineering & Construction experience
  • Leadership and management capability, including organizational and planning skills


Working Conditions:
  • Work performed in typical office environment with significant travel both domestic and international during key times to project locations


Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

Ranges from $110,00 - $145,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
