Description
What you'll own The
Information Services (IS) Work Management Office Project Manager is responsible for leading projects through the full lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, and closeout, while ensuring project requirements are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that improve organizational efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Project Planning: Define project scope, requirements, and deliverables that support strategic initiatives in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
- Timeline Management: Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. Monitor and track project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when necessary.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly. Ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams. Assign tasks and responsibilities, and ensure that project team members have the resources and support needed to complete their work.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and lessons learned reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management.
Requirements
What we're looking for - Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
- An excellent communicator, comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Trainable and adaptable, eager to learn and grow within the role and the organization
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, OnePlan)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus but not required
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, CSM) are also a plus but not required
What to expect- Some travel may be required for project meetings and stakeholder consultations.
- The work environment is primarily remote-based, with possible on-site office work at Children's Medical Center Dallas, as needed.
