Position Overview

The Project Manager II serves as the Owner's representative, accountable for delivering complex, mission-critical capital projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. This role drives overall project strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with Owner objectives across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

The Project Manager II provides proactive oversight across design, procurement, and construction, managing risk, enforcing accountability, and driving coordination among all stakeholders. As the primary interface for the Owner, this role ensures clear communication, informed decision-making, and delivery of a fully compliant, operationally ready facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of project outcomes on behalf of the Owner, ensuring alignment to scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Establish and drive the overall execution strategy, integrating design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide proactive oversight of project performance; identify risks early and lead resolution to protect cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Lead coordination across design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Act as the Owner's primary point of contact, driving decisions, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Enforce disciplined change management, cost control, and schedule adherence across all project partners.
  • Deliver clear, decision-focused reporting on progress, risks, and financial performance to the Owner and executive stakeholders.
  • Direct project team performance, providing leadership and mentorship to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as project manager.
  • Proven history of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects in highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and time-management abilities.
