About this Role
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Project Manager I (Substation) to support substation construction and maintenance projects across our service areas. This is an entry-level position designed for a motivated college graduate who is ready to learn, travel, and grow within the utility construction industry.
The Project Manager I will work closely with experienced project managers, field supervisors, engineers, and clients to help plan, coordinate, and execute substation projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role offers hands-on exposure, training, and mentorship to build a strong foundation in project management.
Salary Range: $85,000 - 115,000, based on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
As a Project Manager I, you will support the full life-cycle of substation projects by:
- Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
- Supporting budget tracking, cost control, and basic financial reporting
- Coordinating materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs
- Communicating with internal teams, field crews, vendors, and clients
- Supporting job site documentation, reporting, and record-keeping
- Assisting with safety compliance, quality control, and company procedures
- Traveling to project sites as needed to support field operations
- Learning industry standards, substation construction practices, and project controls
- Taking on increasing responsibility as skills and experience grow

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or graduating soon)
- Strong desire to build a career in project management and utility construction
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by project needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; project software a plus)
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both in an office setting and in the field
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.
- PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.

Compensation RangeThe anticipated compensation for this position is USD $92,000.00/Yr. - USD $115,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
