In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day cross organizational projects related to Finished Production lines within devices and combination products. The scope of projects related can range from delivering copy assembly/packaging lines to delivering assembly/packaging lines supporting a new device as well as assembly/packaging lines to be places either internal at NN or at an external manufacturer. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring project schedule, scope & budget are adhered to according to approved project plan. This role will also be responsible for stakeholder management related to the project, generating business cases related to projects & presenting to local & global management structures to attain funding & approvals. Additionally provide site support and vendor management when applicable.

Reports to (Senior) Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee projects with a total project investment up to $40 MILLION USD
  • Provide input and progress reports outlining relevant issues, challenges, and constraints to higher level project management, project owner, steering group, etc.
  • Develop solid project plans to meet objectives, milestones, and costs while identifying required project resources and managing external consultants
  • Set direction, manage, motivate, and coach junior project team members while assisting with any training required of all project personnel
  • Anchor benefit realization with process owners in line of business
  • Establish cross-functional project steering group to ensure relevant and efficient guidance to the project and right level of management attention
  • Reflect on and simplify business processes where applicable by identifying cost saving opportunities across PS, future FP initiatives, new business areas, as well as driving future development
  • On-site support during implementation, transfer, and ramp-up of new &/or modified assembly/packaging and assembly/packaging equipment
  • Support within negotiations with external suppliers when purchasing new assembly/packaging and supporting equipment
  • Provide PS cross organizational process, technique, or scientific information in due time to support the assembly/packaging sites, support for assembly/packaging of single dose and durable devices within PS projects
  • Main contact to PS suppliers in close connection with Global Engineering Sourcing
  • Maintain overview of projects for NN key equipment suppliers within assembly/packaging in order to support management in prioritization of vendor focus
  • Support sites within negotiations with external suppliers when purchasing new assembly/packaging and supporting equipment
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distractions. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Economics, Business Management, Project Management, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • Advanced Project Management competencies obtained through relevant PM training or experience preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience with project management required
  • Demonstrates functional/business understanding as well as pronounced written & oral communication skills required
  • Ability to act as project lead & lead cross functional project teams in the development & implementation of projects required
  • Experience of production related projects (investment projects, Agile/LEAN projects, New Product introduction) preferred
  • Experience from projects related to purchase of assembly/packaging equipment, installation, validation, or ramp-up production preferred
  • Excellent process and technical understanding preferred
  • Knowledgeable in core work processes & GMP concepts preferred
  • Initiative & ability to function independently or within a team required
