Our team is looking for a qualified, self-motivated Project Manager experienced in Bridge and Structural Design. We are hiring at our Indianapolis, Indiana office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO...- Work as a project manager and lead designer on bridge and structural projects.
- Perform design calculations for roadway and bridge components.
- Lead design from beginning to end including survey, roadway line/grade, hydraulics, environmental, geotechnical, structural design, letting, and construction.
- Design sketches, comparison and similar technical work as required by the assignment.
- Lead design and manage support staff (PE's, EI's, and Techs) on INDOT, Local Agency, and private projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage overall project budgets.
- Oversee plan development.
- Interact effectively with others including consulting firms partnering with HWC, INDOT staff, local government agency staff and HWC staff.
WHAT YOU NEED:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- 8+ years' bridge design and Project Management experience.
- Professional Engineering License in Indiana or the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Indiana.
- Design skills including rural, urban, and interstate bridges, roadway design, cost estimating, special provisions, specifications and value engineering.
- Knowledge of NEPA requirements for federally funded projects.
- Proven working knowledge of MicroStation, InRoads or ORD, and MS Office software.
- Proven working knowledge of bridge design software including Merlin-Dash, Vslab, Conspan/Leap Bridge, or equivalents.
- Ability to think critically, manage time, and problem solve.
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
- Complete competence working well independently and on a team.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience working with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and/or the INDOT LPA program.
- Experience working with Indianapolis DPW.
- Experience in Utility Coordination and/or Railroad Coordination.
- Experience in Asset Management
- Additional experience in structural design including water treatment plant structures, above and below ground structures, retaining walls, flood walls, occupancy related structures, and foundations is preferred.
