Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a
Project Manager, M&M, to join our Global Minerals & Metals (M&M) team and to support our growth to align with the demand to supply responsibly sourced critical minerals. The Project Engineer / Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams conducting project studies through detailed design to construction / commissioning. This opportunity will be to support the growth of our M&M business located in Toronto, Vancouver.
Your role - Lead and manage Conceptual, PFS, FS, FEED, and EPCM studies/projects, including proposal preparation, execution strategy development, project delivery, and management of engineering, procurement, and construction activities in accordance with approved scope, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adequate staffing, effective interdisciplinary collaboration, alignment of deliverables, and strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource allocations, engineering budgets, and deliverables, using established project management tools to track performance, identify deviations, implement corrective actions, and ensure successful project execution.
- Lead technical and engineering activities, including process design, equipment selection, drawing reviews, scope development, engineering and construction execution planning, work package preparation, and acting as Engineering Manager when required.
- Oversee the procurement and contracting process, including vendor coordination, preparation and review of requisitions, bids, tender documents, subcontractor identification and prequalification, and ensuring compliance with project scope and technical specifications.
- Conduct trade-off studies, risk assessments, and scope management activities, identifying and managing project risks, evaluating alternatives, recommending solutions, and proactively managing scope changes through appropriate change order processes.
- Prepare and present project reports, recommendations, forecasts, meeting agendas and minutes, while providing regular stakeholder communications, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to project instructions, work processes, and execution methodologies.
About you- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canada.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in EPC/EPCM environments within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Proven experience in site-based roles or operations within mining process plants or similar industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, cost control, scheduling, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead virtual and cross-functional teams and maintain strong client relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven professional with the flexibility to travel (up to 2-3 weeks) and manage complex project environments.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $132,600 - $175,000 annually) (Only Applicable to Ontario). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
